Near the newly renovated districts within Hyde Park, The Nest is a rental office space intended to support startups and aspiring entrepreneurs. The goal of the scheme was to create a hierarchy between private offices that lined the quiet ‘shell’ of the building and the double-heighted central open office spaces.

Site considerations included the urban surroundings, major code and parking requirements, as well as sun angle and orientation. Light was one of the defining features of the concept with saw-tooth roofing defining the interior public office spaces. Material palettes included
anodized copper, crushed granite, and polished concrete.
